I agree, post more often. This is really really cool. It could use a bit of work here and there, but over all it's very cool.

explodolabs responds:

yeah, just heard all that low end clipping. thanks for rating

It sounds really nervous and upset to me in the beginning, then it takes that and turns it into bitterness.
The production is only meh, but the feeling and talent is up there.
4.5/5, 5/5 ouob

explodolabs responds:

its a pretty uninspired bass riff. probably should've put more time in it to be honest.

This was so good! I even had a great time soloing over it on my guitar. I don't know what it is about this track but it just makes me want to move :3

Condensia responds:

Haha awesome! You should record yourself playing it and pop it on YouTube ;)

You guitar tone had too much bass. When you're mastering heavy metal, the guitars are actually really transparent and light, and all the bass comes from the bass guitar and kick drum. But I won't say that the bass pumping out on those long notes isn't awesome.
Are you tuning your guitar to precision before recording? it sounded like maybe your D string was just a little high. Maybe I'm wrong.
I like the main riff in the beginning too. Even though you don't have drums or bass here (I don't know about the bass, I just can't hear it at all) I was still headbanging to it :D
Are you using a metronome or a click track? Some parts sounded a little out of beat.
The chaos at the end was uh, interesting at the best. Maybe it would work if there rest of the band was doing crazy stuff too.

Viper responds:

Okay where to begin....
I try to make sure that my guitar is perfectly in tune, but sometimes the guitar likes to knock itself out of tune out of nowhere while im playing. It seriously gets on my nerves when it does that, and ive considered taking it in to get it looked at because i think there is something wrong with the machine heads but ive never gotten around to it. Also I have seriously no idea what happened with the recording because i didn't do anything to the guitar that would explain what happened in the beginning with the pitch changing around the way it did....
Nah theres no drums or bass. Just me .-. I mean I could have grabbed a bass and recorded a bass line for it but i never got around to doing so.
I in all honesty have no idea how to use a click track and I dont have a metronome.
As for the last thing. I'm not in a band at the moment so I can't do anything about having people doing crazy stuff too....

Your voice could have maybe been a bit more emotional, and it was just slightly out of tune.
But it's a really cool track. I love how the chords worked.

RyeGuyHead responds:

I layered my vocals by recording them multiple times to try to adjust for my being out of tune.

The beginning is completely emotionless, it's hard to express myself in that register.

Thanks for the review, glad you liked it!

Well, this makes me wet.
Some mastering tweaks could be made, there's a bit of clipping.
But it's really cool ^ ^b

This is actually really, really cool

like, the coolest kind of cool. ouob
I would listen just for the shits

AliceMako responds:

Thanks, glad there's shits and giggles to be had.

The main synth is alright, but It could have used some LP and fading and what not to give it a more real house sound.
The laughter is cool. ouob
"Go" is too loud, then I feel like the drums, specifically the kick, were weak. And the snare could use more punch, less trebles.
Then the new synth is also cool, but still put some automated LP on that.
at 2:08ish, there's some rhythms happening with the main synth, when you do those, try to take some of the attack and release off of the synth to give it a more staccato feel. they feel like they're lagging behind.
overall it's a nice little re-creation.
I'd appreciate if you'd check out my tunes, too. c:

It was way cool! I feel like there's a little bit of over-compression, but other than that it's well-done.
I really liked the "Nope nope nope" and the synth at 2:18ish. :P

It grooved more like dance or house than Drum and bass, but nevertheless it was good. And the synth bass at the end is a bit too big in my opinion to sound good.

No thanks
