Interesting combination of new and old techniques. The side-chain is well done, but feel a bit deliberate, like it could be more powerful.
I like the bell melody as well.

I haven't heard the original, but this sounds cool. The piano sounds really unrealistic though. I'm not sure what it is about it, it just doesn't quite have that tone.

I like the usage of note blocks.
There are horrible resonance/EQ issues, but I won't put it against you, since the minecraft sounds weren't designed to be used musically. :P

Is there a reason this is mastered down at -12? Lul. It wouldn't hurt to push the volume up. Also, It doesn't looP well. x:
